Canada Business Immigration Program

The Business Immigration Program is for experienced business people who intend to migrate  to Canada and seek to promote economic development and employment in canada. Canada has three (3) types of business immigrants:

  • Investors
  • Entrepreneurs
  • Self-employed

 

Investors

The Investor Category of the Business Class seeks to attract experienced business persons and capital to Canada. This category is ideal for those who want to immigrate to Canada by doing a risk free passive

  • investment with the Federal Government.
  • Invest C$800,000 with the Government of Canada;
  • Investors are not required to start a business in Canada;
  • Investments are fully guaranteed by provinces and territories that participate in the program;
  • Have successfully operated, controlled or directed a business;
  • Have a minimum net worth of at least C$1,600,000.

 

Entrepreneurs

The Entrepreneur Program is for people with business experience who will own and actively manage businesses in Canada that contribute to the economy and create jobs in Canada . Entrepreneurs :

  • Should have at least 2 years of business experience
  • Have legally obtained a minimum net worth of CDN $300,000
  • Obtain at least 35 points on a points-based assessment
  • Respect the conditions placed upon them as entrepreneurs once they arrive in Canada.

 

Self-employed

The Self-Employed Persons Program seeks to attract applicants who have the intention and ability to become self-employed in Canada. under the Self-Employed Persons Program the individual must demonstrate that they have experience as farmer, athletes (at an international level), or artisans.
Relevant experience consists of at least two years of experience of self-employment or participation at a world class level in art, culture, recreation, or sport activities, as listed by Citizenship and Immigration Canada .
